If you are unsure if these are the laces you need just check, if your chair has arm rests then these are the laces you need. If you have no arm rests and can lie completely horizontal then you need the laces for the sunbed
Sometimes heavy wear and tear can cause the cord laces on your chair to wear away and become frayed. On the swing tags of laced chairs Lafuma recommend that 'the elastic laces should be replaced when they show signs of wear (especially in the front of the seat) and at least every two years.'
For a fraction of the price of a new chair, Lafuma’s replacement lacing cords allows you to replace the cords easily at home; refurbishing your chair instantly. One pack of lacing cords will be enough to completely re-lace your chair.
Please note that Lafuma consider the lacing cords to be a consumable part, as they will wear differently dependent on use, therefore these are not covered by the Lafuma guarantee.

Fantastic find!

When my laces wore out I was concerned that it was time for my old chair to be retired but then I heard you could buy replacement laces!
As advised by the Lafuma staff I unlaced one side at a time so that I could copy the pattern to relace and after a short time my chairs were as good as new! Excellent! Great chairs and fantastic that you can buy spare parts! Good advice from Lafuma too.

Spare cords

I was delighted to find these bungee cords were available when mine wore out. I re-fitted my chairs no problem even though my chairs are 5 years old. Now the chairs are as good as new again. Such a comfortable chair and great to have replacement parts so readily available plus extremely fast delivery from this site. No complaints here about Lafuma or www.Lafuma.co.uk!

Lafuma Chair Lacing Cords

Our 2 chairs are about 8 years old and the cords one one snapped the other week so I bought 2 sets. I followed the pattern of one chair whilst lacing the new ones and immediately hit a snag - it is near impossible to loop twice into one eyelet as the eyelets are too small - I had to pull with mole grips. Then, as I got about 3 eyelets from the end I discovered the new cord is way too short! Maybe the lacing pattern has changed on the latest chairs? So far I have spent 40 minutes and only threaded one out of 8 laces.
The instructions really should be clearer.

My old chairs have had their lacing and fabrics replaced twice, over more than twenty years. Even the arm-rest sponge and cloth covers have been replaced, all without any problems. Usually, each chair takes about twenty minutes to relace - easier now that the laces have fitted ends for threading easily.
If one takes care (take a picture of the lacing pattern, on each side, if necessary) with a little patience the task is easily completed and well worth the effort! Our chairs have been chosen for family distribution, once my wife and I are no longer around!
