The new Futura XL is the next generation in Lafuma recliners. As the name would suggest the Futura XL is significantly larger than other Lafuma recliners. It also features the patented and original Lafuma 'Relaxer' system, which can be reclined into an infinite number of positions whilst remaining totally stable. The Futura XL can be reclined in two different ways, either by easing body weight backwards, or by pushing on the arms.
This model also features a innovative batyline seat which clips into the frame of the chair. Not only is the seat easily removed for cleaning, it also provides unparalleled comfort and support. Please note that this chair stabilizes but does not lock into position.
This chair fits in the RSX transport bag for ease of storage or transportation.

Great chair for bigger folk

I came across this recliner while visiting an old friend who weighs in a few stone heavier than me (I am 6’2” and 17 stone plus). I was immediately impressed by the great comfort, ease of movement and sturdiness of a recliner I knew had been rigorously load tested over a long period by such a heavyweight. In the past I have damaged more flimsy recliners and always felt a bit nervous sitting down or moving around in one. I ordered this model without hesitation the day after I got home and have been absolutely delighted with it. Sheer relaxation and peace of mind, I am very enthusiastic about this product and looks good too!

Call me a LAFUMA nerd but my family have purchased Lafuma recliners for the past 10 years! I copied my folks and have to say when reaching for them this year the elastic had stretched that much we were nearly sat on the floor! Our fault as we had been cruel and left them out all year long for the past 8 years! These are really firm and much more plush, I have bought my niece 2 for their engagement presents last year and my brother in law one for his birthday/Xmas for the relax state in his caravan! You cant go wrong with the LAFUMA, you get your moneys worth and everyone always comments on the high standard when they park themselves in them! You definitely need to place your beach towels over them to bag them before your family gets them!!!!

Now I know what all the fuss is about!

I ordered my chairs on Thursday and they arrived on Friday! The staff at Lafuma were friendly and went above and beyond to help me select the correct chairs. Just typical the weather turns now I have them. I wouldn't be stopped though and have been enjoying the chair indoors! You do feel weightless and I felt so relaxed the moment I sat in it I almost went to sleep :o I used to wonder why the price tag but now I know it's worth every penny :D
